DOG SPORTS CLASSES
School Was Never so Much Fun
I offer a number of sports foundation classes, and I am the instructor for several levels of agility classes given with the OKPAWS K9 Sports Club in Oklahoma City. The in-person classes are taught outdoors and are six weeks long but may not be consecutive weeks depending on weather and local agility trial schedule.
FUNDAMENTALS

$97 via Zoom or $125Â in person
This is a great class for dogs of all ages to build the foundation skills necessary to build a great teammate for dog sports. This four week games-based course will develop the strong relationship, while building fitness, focus, flexibility, confidence and grit.
AGILITY BEGINNER II: CONTACTS AND WEAVES

This is a six week class. In this class we build on the foundations of first class. The dogs will master all the basic agility obstacles including contacts, jumps, tunnels and weaves.  Mastery of the weaves will depend on home practice. Class is limited to dogs over the age of one year, and the Agility Beginner I is required.
AGILITY III: FANCY FLATWORK

This is a six week class with the OKPAWS K9 Sports Club of Oklahoma City. In this class the handlers will learn how to clearly communicate their directions to their canine teammates. Included are Serpentines, Threadles, Pin-wheels, Front, Rear, and Blind Crosses, Wrapping, and Backside jumps. Obstacle mastery is required.
AGILITY IV: CONFIDENCE AND DISTANCE

This is a six week class given with OKPAWS K9 Sports Club of Oklahoma City. This class builds on the confidence and adds distance and independence into the handling directions. This class is for experienced agility teams. The class is scheduled for a two hour block, but may be shorter depending on the number of enrolled dogs.
AGILITY: ADVANCED TEAMWORK

In this six week class given with OKPAWS K9 Sports Club of Oklahoma City, is for experienced agility teams. We continue to explore which handling methods works best for your dog. Exercises will include challenges with multiple handling possibilities, distance work, and full course challenges. The class is scheduled for a two hour block, but may be shorter depending on the number of enrolled dogs.
